درمانهای مکمل در دیابت: بررسی اثرات ضد دیابتی کیتوزان

دیابت یک بیماری متابولیک مزمن است که با افزایش سطح قند خون و اختلال در عملکرد انسولین شناخته میشود و به طور گستردهای در سطح جهانی شیوع دارد. این بیماری عمدتاً به دو نوع دیابت نوع ۱ و نوع ۲ تقسیم میشود که هر دو با مشکلات جدی برای سلامت همراه هستند. دیابت نوع ۲ به دلیل مقاومت به انسولین و اختلال در جذب گلوکز، مشکلات زیادی را ایجاد میکند که میتواند منجر به عوارض جدی مانند بیماریهای قلبی، آسیب به اعصاب، و مشکلات کلیوی شود. به دلیل عدم کفایت درمانهای موجود، جستجو برای درمانهای جایگزین و مکمل در حال افزایش است، در این راستا، پلیساکاریدها به دلیل ویژگیهای زیستی خاص خود، از جمله تأثیرات آنتیاکسیدانی، ضد التهابی و تنظیم متابولیسم گلوکز، به عنوان ترکیبات امیدوارکننده در مدیریت دیابت شناخته میشوند. کیتوزان، یکی از مشتقات پلیساکاریدی کیتین، به عنوان یک ترکیب طبیعی و غیرسمی توجه زیادی را به خود جلب کرده است. این ماده با خاصیتهای ضد دیابتی متعدد، از جمله کاهش تولید گلوکز در کبد، بهبود جذب گلوکز در عضلات، و افزایش حساسیت به انسولین، به کنترل قند خون کمک میکند. مطالعات نشان دادهاند که کیتوزان از طریق کاهش گلوکونئوژنز، تحریک انتقال ناقل گلوکز-۴ (GLUT4) به غشای سلولی، و بهبود وضعیت متابولیسم لیپید میتواند تأثیرات مثبتی بر کنترل دیابت و کاهش التهاب مزمن مرتبط با آن داشته باشد. بنابراین، کیتوزان و مشتقات آن به عنوان درمانهای مکمل و طبیعی برای مدیریت دیابت و کاهش عوارض آن میتوانند گزینههای مؤثری باشند و نیاز به تحقیقات بیشتر برای درک کامل پتانسیلهای این ترکیبات ضروری است
