کودکان، زبان و جهان: چگونه زبان‌های متفاوت، یکسان آموزش داده می‌شوند

Abstract

درک زبان، یکی از بنیادی‌ترین جنبه‌های شکل‌گیری هویت انسانی و ادراک از جهان است. با وجود تنوع زبانی در جوامع مختلف، الگوهای آموزش زبان به کودکان اغلب از اصول نسبتاً مشابهی پیروی می‌کنند. این مقاله با رویکردی تطبیقی و میان‌رشته‌ای، به بررسی این پرسش می‌پردازد که چگونه کودکان در فرهنگ‌ها و نظام‌های زبانی مختلف، زبان را به‌صورت مشابه و مؤثر می‌آموزند. با تکیه بر نظریه‌های زبان‌شناسی شناختی (Chomsky, 2006)، روان‌شناسی رشد (Vygotsky, 1978) و رویکردهای نوین آموزش چندزبانه (García & Wei, 2014)، نشان می‌دهیم که فرایند یادگیری زبان در کودکان، بیش از آن‌که به ساختار زبانی خاصی وابسته باشد، متکی به قابلیت‌های ذاتی، تعامل اجتماعی و محیط یادگیری است. همچنین مقاله با بررسی داده‌های میدانی از نظام‌های آموزشی چندکشوری (ازجمله فنلاند، ژاپن، ایران و سوئیس) به این نتیجه می‌رسد که مغز کودک با وجود تفاوت‌های زبانی، سازوکاری جهانی برای فراگیری زبان دارد؛ سازوکاری که اگر در بسترهای تربیتی مناسب فعال شود، می‌تواند به تقویت تفکر، خلاقیت و توان ارتباطی بیانجامد. مقاله در پایان با ارائه الگوی پیشنهادی «آموزش زبان بر پایه فهم جهانی» مسیرهایی برای اصلاح سیاست‌گذاری‌های زبانی در آموزش عمومی پیشنهاد می‌کند.
